Terms and Conditions
COLLECTING A VEHICLE
When collecting a vehicle please bring the following with you:
* a full valid driving license (no exceptions)
* a guaranteed method of payment for the rental and deposit (see payment terms below)
* 2 forms of identification e.g. passport, utility bill, bank statement
If, for any reason, you are unable to collect the vehicle at the time specified please contact us as soon as possible.
PHOTO LICENCE
Any customer who holds a U.K. photo licence must get a Licence Summary from the DVLA website.

We cannot rent to any customer without first checking for endorsements.
OLD PAPER LICENCE
Any customer who still has an old paper licence must get a Licence Summary from the DVLA website.

DRIVING LICENCE
A full driving license must have been held for at least one year (21 to 24 at least 2 years). Endorsed licenses will be accepted at the discretion of Parkhurst Self Drive Hire.
AGE
25 - 70 years, standard conditions apply (21 - 24 and 71 - 75 year old drivers accepted for rental subject to special conditions and/or insurance approval).
INSURANCE
Rates include comprehensive insurance with an excess of £250 to £1000 (£1500 for overhead damage to vans).
PAYMENT
The full rental plus refundable deposit is required when the vehicle is collected.
We accept all major credit and debit cards. We do not accept cash or cheques
We only accept physical credit/debit cards. We do not accept digital cards/wallets
BREAKDOWN COVER
All our vehicles are fully covered by the AA, RAC or manufacturers assistance.
FOREIGN TRAVEL
Vehicles may only be taken out of England, Scotland or Wales with our written consent. Please ask for details of our tailored overseas hire package.
LONG TERM AND CONTRACT HIRE
We will be pleased to give quotations for this on request.
NEW CUSTOMERS
We maintain our low rates by avoiding vehicle loss and damage. Please do not be offended when asked to provide bona fide identification.
